I have seen what has the world aching,
what makes our mother, the Earth, sick with dread and causing anger,
like earthquakes and hurricane storms sweep across nations unchecked and unfettered,
I have seen our Mother, the Planet, so starved for her people to care,
whole swarms of grasshoppers fill the sky, warning us again -
"You will starve with us, don't you understand what you are doing?"
I have felt what it is like when a tree dies from the roots
as soil erosion wicks water and nutrients from the very veins and arteries
a trunk needs as it's anchors lose grasp on the very dirt,
leaves gnashed to pieces in the setting sun, winds rasping through hollowed branches,
crying, howling even - "We Can Not Sustain You!!"
You, humans - a Blight upon the Earth as she cries and cries and cries.
